TRANSFOND is the owner and operator of the Automated Clearing House for low value interbank commercial payments. Located at the heart of all financial operators, TRANSFOND has developed and manages a robust and secure interbank transaction processing system in line with international standards in the field. Since go-live and up to the present moment, the Automated Clearing House has functioned exemplarily, at maximum availability and safety parameters.

Transfers using AliasPay (subcomponent of the Automated Clearing House) are thus carried out with the TRANSFOND warranty, grounding on more than 15 years of experience in building and operating critical systems connected to inter-banking payment processing in Romania. TRANSFOND’s shareholders are the National Bank of Romania and the main commercial banks. We have, therefore, the certainty that money is safely transferred from one account to another, between different banks.

TRANSFOND also provides processing services for interbank retail payments in Euro, both national and cross-border, according to SEPA standards to Romanian payment institutions, with the settlement of clearing results through TARGET2 system, component of the National Bank of Romania.

The institution has a substantial confidence capital in the successful management of numerous payment projects within the banking financial community. The projects completed so far have proved the company’s experience in coordinating large-scale actions, with many institutions involved, whose interests differ depending on the type of services provided, with different paces and working methodologies and with wide-ranging infrastructures. The outcome at community level, the savings generated after the roll out of these projects fully justified the efforts made.

Currently, TRANSFOND’s strategic development objective is to consolidate and enrich it’s profile, as financial services infrastructure provider, with a strong emphasis on IT&C. TRANSFOND continues the development of services designed for the financial and banking community, through the launch of new business lines focused on improvements and diversification of the activities of company’s clients. By launching e-Arhiv@ 2009, TRANSFOND became the first authorized service provider for electronic archiving in accordance with Law no. 135/2007 on archiving electronic documents. In 2010, TRANSFOND enlarged its range of services by adding e-Factur@ - electronic invoicing services, for both issuers and payers.
